is processed. As of July 2010, your case for Department of State
benefits may be processed either by the Refugee Processing Center (RPC),
or by an Overseas Processing Entity (OPE).
* If your visa will be processed by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad,
Amman, Cairo or Damascus, your case for Department of State benefits
will be handled by OPE Amman. Your email will be forwarded to the OPE.
* If your visa will be processed by the U.S. Embassy in Ankara
or Beirut, your case for Department of State benefits will be handled by
OPE Istanbul. Your email will be forwarded to the OPE.
* If your visa will be processed by a U.S. Embassy in any other
location, your case for Department of State benefits will be handled by
the RPC. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as we can. Please note
that inquiries are answered in the order in which they are received.
IMPORTANT: Please note that this only applies to new cases received by
the RPC on or after July 9, 2010. If you have submitted benefits
documents to the National Visa Center (NVC), they will be forwarded to
the RPC or OPE. You will be informed as to which entity will process
your case for benefits. You do not need to take further action until you
are contacted.
