أحتفلت ألمؤسسة ألاسترالية ألاشورية للفنون وألاداب في ملبورن بتأريخ 2\12\2006 وفي صالات عشتار بيوم ألافتتاح ألرسمي وبحظور ممثلين عن ألاحزاب والجمعيات والكنائس وعدد كبير من أبناء الجالية. وقد تم ألافتتاح بحظور السيد The Honorable Anthony Helou رئيس بلدية مورلاند حيث كان من اوائل المبتهجين بتأسيس هذه المؤسسة التي تعتني بالتراث الثقافي والفني والادبي ألاشوري . وكانت خطابات أعظاء الهيئة الادارية واحدة تلو الاخرى تبث البهجة في نفوس الحاظرين لكون هذه المؤسسة هي الاولى من نوعها في ملبورن والتي تخص ابناء الفكر والعلم والتراث الحضاري والفني .

AUSTRALIAN ASSYRIAN ARTS AND LITERATURE FOUNDATION

The Australian Assyrian Arts and Literature Foundation on Saturday the 2nd of December 2006 celebrated its official and momentous launch at Ishtar Reception Centre in Melbourne, Australia. In attendance at the official launch were representatives of the various Assyrian political, social and religious leaders and organizations as well as a large number of members from the community in Melbourne. The Foundation was honored to have also as its guest of honor for the launch, the Honorable Anthony Helou the Mayor of Moreland City Council who gave a lengthy and positive speech expressing his happiness for the launch of the Foundation. The Honorable Mayor also expressed an offer to the Foundation that Moreland City Council and he personally would support the Foundation’s work for the benefit of Assyrian arts and literature in the future. During the evening the founding members of the Foundation were introduced and a description of the future projects was explained to the audience as well as details of other related subjects.

The Australian Assyrian Arts and Literature Foundation (AAALF) has been founded with the vision of advancing Assyrian arts and literature and with the mission of engaging Assyrian and Non-Assyrian historians, archaeologists, litterateurs, poets, teachers and artists in contributing to the purpose of the Foundation.
