To
Dr. Simon,
It is pleasure that I knew you from the time of the University in Mosul in 1960s, a joy that we have then when we were young students saying HI to each other even now and then in Dawasa, Mosul.
Learning should not be only , as you know, to get certificates only, in fact, it should be to serve the community and if, I can say, the nation or at least people who desperately need to know their identity i.e., language of their own Modern Assyrian Language.
Alas! people do not cooperate unless they got something out of you, a reason that our people are behind and that they do not come to their conscience and consciousness to assess rightly and justly a person or his or her work.
We need, therefore, to live in a selflessness attitude to do something for this overwhelmed and crushed nation, a precious time and need of behavior to dedicate ourselves for writing and make something positive come out of it and leave behind a legacy for the coming generations. This is my thinking now and I am sure yours as well.
Very respectfully,
