Chapter VI / Line 12 / page 140 a new sentence :
“Mar Shamoun, the Patriarch, furnished me with a very strong letter of recommendation to the meleks and priests of the Nestorian districts.”
I belong to a Bazi tribe and my Dad told me that we had an Assyrian melek of the Lower Village called mahayi i.e., mathaye and finally this melek lived in Mosul and I have seen his daughter and his son WillIam etc. So, melek Khammo , etc.
You can ask others about melek Khoshaba or melek namroud etc…..
Thank you for being meticulous about information . I am just reading the book and elicit demography out of it. If you do not agree that is Okay and no one forces you to read it or accept it a trustworthy information . You can make your own opinions and translate what you have ….
Assyrians in their villages in Turkey had what they called “ senators “ and in Assyrian Khwar Diqne i.e, in Kurdish Rei- Spee . The men with white beards . This is what I know . I write what I write and you can write what you can write and I read it …….with respect and appreciation .
Would you please, then write what you have as a book and we will exchange information but, please, peacefully …..with gratitude.
Sincerely,
Matti Phillips Khoshaba , California
