بعث المنبر الديمقراطي الكلدانى الأوسترالي هذه الرساله الى سكرتير الامم المتحده عن الحالة المحزنة التي يعيشها المسحيين في بغداد والموصل، لذا نناشد كافة ابناء شعبنا في العالم ارسال نسخه من هذه الرسالة او رسالة اخرى الى الحكومات المعنيه.

Subject: the plight of Christians in Iraq
Dear Sir,
We would like to appeal to you to contact the United States government and the Iraqi government in Baghdad to make an effort to work for peaceful coexistence in the country, protecting its defenceless and voiceless minorities, Christians in Iraq are on their way to extinction, cut off from the country’s political process.
We are critical of a democracy that has “turned into a simplistic expression of majority will and the systematic violation of minority rights.”
In listing some of the aspects of the grave crisis that is affecting especially the Christian community, higher unemployment among Christians, arbitrary seizure of properties owned by Christian families in Baghdad and other cities in Iraq, violations of religious freedom and freedom of though, abductions, attacks and sectarian threats.”
We drew your attention to the tragedy facing the Christian community especially in Baghdad, where terrorists at work in Dora and other districts are asking Christian families to convert to Islam or to pay a protection tax or to leave their homes and all their belongings.
We ask the United Nations to ensure respect for the rights of persecuted Christians and stop this violence.
