I was in Syria just a few months ago,,I was going from kamshly to Hasaka when I met an Arab man who was a Jebory and he told me that all the jebor peopel are Assyrians only,,by the way most of the people on the Syrian Iraqi border claim to be ASHOUREE ONLY,,,so you see the name Assyrian will always be there safe from all the enemies of the Assyrian Nation,,the Assyrian name is everything in Iraq.

Mr Haider,,I hope you have heard about the Assyrians and their history in Iraq for thousands of years,so where should we be palced in the new Iraq???do you think that we should live under the Kurdesh rule???or the Arab rule???with all my respect to all Iraqis we can not do that anymore.The reason for me to say that is very simple and that is we have lost our home land by force not by choice,waht can we do to the kurds who are occuping our vilages and towns in northern Iraq??Mr Haider I would appreciate it if you put the Assyrians on the map of the new Iraq EQUALLY to the others ,,thanks.I think the time has come to do the right thing towards the Assyrians and not just sweet words.

I say what is good for the others its good for us too.The Iraqi goverment and the Iraqi people should know that without a safe haven in the form of a fedral state for us Christians then all this talk about freedom and democracy in Iraq will be a smoke screen only in the eyes of the world.If the Christians of Iraq keep living in fear and intimadation from the others then there will be only one choice for them and that is to leave Iraq all together(I'm against that)and if that happens then Iraq will never be a country as we know it.
