Alyana Eau: The Cycle of Ever After 2007
Life and Death after Life and Death after Life and Death after… Ever After
Research and experimentation of the life cycle has derived from personal interests and beliefs. This collection explores multiple approaches towards the concept. It focuses on the correlation and permanence between life and death. Aging; a bridge between birth and death, is expressed through draw string systems and pattern making to create spherical forms with circular details, portraying the continuity of life. In addition, the concept was illustrated by manipulating textiles imitating physical decay, giving the textile a new life.
