For the money transfer: the best and cheapest way to do it is to come to Canada with less than 10,00$ in hand, and once you arrive to the country you can open an account at any national bank (I would recommend TD, or RBC). Once you became an account holder, then you can request someone to “WIRE” transfer the money from your Libyan account into your new Canadian account. Now this transaction is considered the safest and most efficient. They will charge you a flat rate of approximately 40-50$, and the money will deposited in your account (if everything went smoothly) from 3-5 business day.
